Hi All:

Just a few questions.

If I have a full moon and I live in Kansas. Is the moon full below the equator? (Stay in central time zone)

Is the moon full on ther other side of the world when night time comes?

Just curious.

Terry

My vote is yes it would. The illumination of the moon is dependent upon where the earth, moon, and sun are in relation to each other.

What they see on the other side of the earth would be halfway between what tonight's moon is for you, and what tomorrow night's moon is for you.

What Mike said is correct - it doesn't matter where you are on the globe, the illumination of the moon is based on the position of the moon in its orbit around us.

A full moon anywhere on earth is a full moon everywhere on earth.

Did someone say "full moon"?
