Does anyone know where one can get buy a rheostat switch for a 1984 Mooney 231? The panel light rheostat is toast and we are having a hard time finding a replacement. Thanks!

Thanks. It looks like we need the whole rheostat and box unit assembly. Still searching.

CAUTION -- BLATANT HUCKSTERISM MESSAGE FOLLOWS

I'd hold on until RST Engineering gets its solid state lamp dimmer on the market in the first part of next year with a circuit that cannot burn out, doesn't get hot, and has multiple outputs for dimming, inverse dimming, and flashing.

Will it be STC'd or PMA'd?

I had the same problem and solved by putting a three position switch (OFF-DIM-BRT) with a 10 ohms resistor in series for the DIM position. It had work flawlessly for 15 years.
