Watched a short documentary last night on where these Korean super pop bands come from ("K-Pop")...
Basically folks line up outside once a month for a chance to go into a "pop boot camp" sort of business, run by the largest record label, and they live there in dorms and study how to be pop stars. Usually only one opening for thousands auditioning.
