Need a complex endorsement in a Mooney in San Antonio. Got 1 maybe 2 days to get it done. Recommendations? I'm a 250hr PPL 0 (ZERO) Complex time.

If said CFI would like to do a complex endorsement while on a cross country flight to Montana, We'll fly a Mooney from SA I'll put you up for a few days, put you in a raft on top of the best fly fishing on earth (I'll even row, supply the gear and beer) and supply a return ticket home.

Not ready JUST yet but could close the deal by thursday.

Bart,

I have a Citation Excel in the service center at SAT for pre-buy survey and some minor stuff, and will be there frequently for the next couple of weeks. I'm sure we could figure out how to get the wheels up and down if you don't find somebody else.

Wow, fly fishing in Montana and a mooney?! Wish I could help out. But we are about to go to Idaho for some back country flying and fishing :-)... And I'm not qualified to teach in that mooney...
Good luck with it

Call John Mitchell at: (210) Four 1 two - 4 five 5 five.

He is one of the group of CFI's that did Mooney factory transition training and is one of the best CFI's that I know.

If he can't do it, ask him for a recommendation.

I'm legally qualified to do it and I'm local, but don't have a lot of time in Mooneys.

I rented his plane and services in November last year on a dual cross country.I remember him telling me he worked for Mooney in some capacity some years back.He is also a Special Forces veteran from the Viet Nam era. You can glean more information about him from his website. Good luck with the Mooney and your adventure!

Here's the group that was the authorized factory training team back in the days when the factory was still cranking them out.

I saw that report over the weekend. Any idea what happened? If I recall the wether was pretty benign.

I was over at AQO today and they said they'd been there a while doing touch'n goes, were apparently heavy and were carrying as little fuel as possible. Not sure what went wrong. A jet heard them last, then nothing for three hours or so and then a local acro pilot saw the wreckage at the end of 35 I think. Note that the airport will be closed to transient training the next few days due to the aerobatic contest there over the weekend.
