Way off topic for aviation, but if anyone is into o-gauge model railroading, I could use some expertise.

Also, any good, relevant forum recommendations for such would be appreciated.

Thanks,
JKG

Totally irrelevant to the OP, but I was cleaning the office yesterday and found two N-gauge electric track switches I need to give away. PM me if interested.

I dig out the Lionel stuff from time to time, got all my dads trains, a few of my own and even have my grandfather's old Lionel streamliner

I love model trains. Don't know much about them, but they are fun to watch. :D

They have some huge set ups around here. I mean located in warehouses, house size tracks with freight loading facilities huge!

Of course we have the real thing too!

Look for a Sperry Car, There were a limited amount of them made a were pretty valuable, although there is at least one homemade one that is just awesome in detail. We had pulled up in some town in Ontario and a guy asked if he could see the car, not an unusual request, so I gave him the Nickel tour. He took a bunch of detail pics of stuff that was not typical, I asked him why he said he was a model builder. We came through again 4 months later and he came over with the model he built, it was awesome in detail, even the test carriages and proper number of cables running to the traction motors. The interior as well, the belt drove the paper tape rolls and the indicator pens would ink, the counting tubes on the green box would flash, just every possible detail I looked at was correct except the James Bond bed which I didn't show him. For him to have done it in that short time he must have worked on it for several hours a day. I was impressed and worried by him at the same time lol.
