My plane lost brakes in NW PA just before departure. There was smoke, and then fire. Plane now released by FAA and NTSB, I think only one maintenance shop on the field, backed up for weeks. I think the issue was riding on my brakes too much, leading to brake fluid leak and/or fire. I am obtaining a tire, inner tube, brake pads, brake O-ring, and brake fluid.

If the on field shop stays busy, how lucky might I be to find mobile service that flies or drives in with proper equipment to jack the plane up, change the tire, service the brakes?

Has anyone used Phalanx aviation?

Just Google “mobile A&P” for your location. I had found one in the Cleveland area about 5 years ago. Should be pretty straightforward.

Do you recall who you used? Cleveland kind of nearby but nobody hits when I search.

West Star Aviation is another name cropping up in search.
