Mixed emotions

If this had happened in FoCo, probably be a different story. As it is, I'd keep going on 70, and just hit Falling Rock when I got to Denver.

my wife called me while stuck behind the wreck ... I told her to get out and help with the cleanup and make sure none of the poor little 12oz victims needed resuscitating.

The picture of one of the 12oz victims bleeding to death was rather gruesome...

I can imagine some knuckle head comming upon the wreck thinking he had hit pay dirt and then popping open a cold one! SPRAY!

Since I actually don't mind Miller Light, it's a great beer to keep in the fridge when someone is coming over. They won't drink my beer. Haha.

I was driving up 95 one day and a truck carrying oranges had spilled it's load. It was really surreal with them all over the side of the road in the grass. There were people stopping to retrieve some.

Once when I was in the fire department three trucks carrying 2x4's primarily crashed into the back of a backup from an earlier accident. It looked like a giant pick-up-stix game.

FWIW, Miller Lite was the beer of choice for beer battered cod at Marriott, where I was a Sous Chef while in college. Of course, the head chef at the time told me the skunkier beers work better for the recipe. I'm not a beer drinker so I've only had an occasional Negro Modelo or Molson. I still have no idea what makes a beer "skunky".

As a resident of Milwaukee who lives 10 minutes from the Miller factory, I can proudly say I can't stand the stuff. So many better options out there.

For the record, I'd rather have Blue Moon these days than anything. Yes, with the girly orange slice in it.

When we moved to Texas, I despaired at ever finding real beer again. It was hard enough to find in Iowa.

Then, we found Shiner Bock, proudly made in Shiner, Texas. It's an amazing beer, with a nice crisp flavor, not too hoppy (which seems to have become a competition amongst microbrewers nowadays, trying to see who can brew the most undrinkably hoppy beer), and is simply the most drinkable amber lager out there.

I don't even miss my beloved Sprecher Amber anymore. I had some at Oshkosh, and it tasted heavy and dull by comparison. Shiner Bock strikes a better balance between "flavorful" and just plain "full".

And...we have a pilot-owned microbrewery just two blocks from the hotel. :D. His results can be variable, but it's sure fun testing them -- and he occasionally hits a home run with his wheat beers.

Shiner Bock rulez!

I can top that one... I saw an armored truck that somehow managed to drop a load of coins. The highway was awash in silver... It was pandemonium! People stopping in the middle of the highway to grab handfuls of dimes. A couple of wing-nuts managed to get arrested, per the 6:00 news....
