I just did this and it was a lot of fun, plus I felt I was giving back to the aviation community in helping with a study that might save lives. They are testing out a new app—actually something that will be embedded in Foreflight, etc—that gives you an audible alert if you are in an unusual attitude. It was a blast, have never been in a sim before or used a PC sim program and the fidelity of the experience surprised me, basically the little fake ship responded to my controls like I expected. I would urge anybody in the DC are to give it a go if you have the time, it only took an hour and was a heck of a lot of fun, plus (theoretically) they will send you $150 bucks! The original post is locked for some reason so here is their email: studies@mitre.org
