Pre-takeoff checklist
I don’t know how many states have programs like this, but this program is so cool!
I got a chance to interview one of their board members on the Flying Midwest Podcast. The program gives high school aged kids a week long camp to check out a ton of aviation careers. The camp gives them tours of MSP Tower, they get a trip onto the runways, and even their shot at full motions sims. They even have CFIs give them some time in some GA aircraft. To top it off, they have a bunch of guest speakers and counselors who share their careers with these kids.
It’s a really cool program, something I thought would be worth sharing. The industry as a whole needs more programs like this. Maybe this post can help stir something up in someone elsewhere to build something like it.
