Military votes

I'd like to see a credible reporter who's seen 'em. Not sure that website is credible. The lack of detail is pretty high. Unless all those "hundreds of thousands" of votes not counted were in States where the electoral vote would switch, they can't even prove it would "swing the election".

I'm on your side on this one Tom, every vote stuck in the military postal system should be counted. But mi really skeptical of that article.

Turns out to be a hoax,,,,, sorry Folks.

I think people who have never served, have a very different impression of the "military vote" than the reality of the situation. It's a cross section of the population, nothing more, nothing less.

The military take a different view of the foreign affairs than those that have never been over seas.

IMHO had Benghazi gate happened before the absentee ballot were dropped, the military vote would have gone to Mitt. The military doesn't like leaving folks behind.

I don't personally think the military vote will ever go one particular way, regardless of whatever esoteric political drama happens to be the buzz of the moment. To be quite honest, "Benghazi gate" means about as much to me as the box of uneaten frosted cheerios that have been sitting in my hotel room for the last 2 weeks of this current det. Maybe I will google it when I have a chance. Maybe I'm also an a-hole that just doesn't care about politics and media spin (guilty), or maybe I just have better things to do, like prepping for a 4 v eleventy million air-to-air event. My B :)

A friends sister and her troopers in Afghanistan were still waiting for their requested absentee ballots as of last week. Not a hoax and don't know how wide spread the problem is, but I do know it is va very real problem.

Unfortunately it happens. Only real way around it is to request the absentee or early ballot as far in advance as possible.

I failed to do that myself, thinking I was only going out for a 4 night underway and would be back well in advance to mail off my ballot......then we got sortied for the Hurricane.....then sent up to NYC for the relief efforts. My ballot is still sitting at home waiting for me. Out of a crew of 900, I'm guessing at least 500 or so of us did not get to vote in this election.

The Duffel Blog is the Onion of military news. Funny reading. Sorry you thought it was real.

Almost all my friends are military and not a single one mentioned any problems in casting their vote. I know one in Bagram Afghanistan that had no problems sending in his absentee ballot. Like Benghazi this just more conspiracy theory crap.
