It's fun to note the milestones in one's flying journey. I hit one today, appropriately enough flying with one of my students who will be taking his private pilot checkride tomorrow. I love passing along my passion for flight.

That is pretty cool. So you think you really averaged 85 hours a year or was there some time off in there as well?

Really cool, congrats. This made me feel like a complete noob, however.

Nope...my logbook shows a few years of career and family building that left no room for flying. Not many of those but several. I think there were even a couple where I hadn't renewed my medical because of the busyness of life. Thankfully I've been able to make up for those with more flying now.

And there are many on this board who make me feel like a noob. It's all relative. But you just keep building time one hour (or fraction thereof) at a time.

Good job. One hour at a time :wink2:. Good to see the students keep coming.

Great that your 3K will be done passing on the knowledge we all share. I was curious so went back through my logs to find what I was doing at 3K, it was a nice trip back. Thanks for using your skills to bring new pilots online.

I enjoy those trips down memory lane in the logbook. I try to note something about every personal flight....what the trip was for, who was along, memorable things about the flight itself. I'm glad I have that...closest thing to a "diary" I'll ever have!
