But, can anyone explain why I have an option to "safely remove" my C: drive from my PC in my icon tray? It's my boot drive...

I just DBAN'ed the SSD and reinstalled Win7 Ultimate with no change. It still shows the C: drive as something I can remove. I've never had this issue before and an Internet search shows up nothing.

I disconnected all my others drives before reinstalling the OS to be sure it was isolated. It's a Samsung 840 Pro 128GB.
