I'm now a firm out - The realtor wants to meet to go over the cabin we're selling in WV before she goes on vacation. That's F33 money but alas, earmarked for the move to NH

do both... get the Bo and move it to NH.

Bummer. But lots of good flying weather to come for a MD/VA/DC lunch/breakfast somewhere. Charly's down at JGG (Williamsburg/Jamestown) has become a fav, too.

Now 10/10 is a certain for me.

SWMBO and I had cancelled a Fri-Sun trip to Asheville that weekend (and slid it to Dec) and she said "Oh, Colonial Williamsburg!" So we're flying down to JGG Friday and back Sunday. While she sleeps in I'll meet folks wherever they'd like for breakfast Sat or we can do it Sunday before we depart.

Well, we canceled our trip to Laurel MS with Fridays weather, and decided not to push the dates since next week is looking like more of the same. The bride and I already made plans to catch up with a couple that are in the Beech Aero Club since we haven't seen them in a few months.

Hope we can catch up another time, maybe Sunday?

Is this an open invitation? I’m possibly headed to Florida so maybe I could have a quick stop.

A short hop to Delaware Coastal, KGED, for a BLT and a cup of Maryland crab soup. Good lunch and meet up with fellow pilot from N57 New Garden.

A new BBQ place. It’s winter, so not sure about the ice cream place.

Well, how was the bbq? 1-10 scale. Was the cornbread dry? The mac n cheese looks good. Desserts?

whole lotta questions....imma need @RDUPilot 's help on this one, but.......

we both had the brisket. it was ok, I'd get it again. if I need to give it a rating, I'd say a solid 6.33. to me it was on par with most other southern food, or at least food 'round here......totally overrated. but it was fine. the mac n cheese DOES look good, but RDU nailed it...it was flavorless. it needed something, anything to spice it up...a touch of salt, heat, anything. cornbread was tasty, I didn't think it was dry at all but I am in no way a cornbread expert. I wish I had more of it. didn't do any desserts.

obviously it'll take more trial research to give a proper overall rating. the outdoor seating on the 3rd floor was pretty cool. a balcony overlooks the runway at the 21 approach side. will give non-aviators a closeup view of some shtty landings. I read somewhere online that they don't want you parking right in front of the building because those spots are for the school planes. however we parked right in front, and I counted at least 13 open spots. but for some reason other planes were parking all over the place, it was pretty strange to watch. entry to the building from the runway side was very awkward. I had to go all the way to the FBO, out the front side, then walk to the other building just to get in. very strange, they need an entry from the ramp. put a coded lock on one of the doors or something.
the actual restaurant was nice, wide open, well lit, and a bar. yup, imma need right seat in someone's plane so I can give the bar a trial run.
anyways, it's another food option "in the area" so I'm excited about that. also they serve breakfast and if I recall they're open 7 days a week, which is a huge plus in my book. it sux not having a sunday breakfast option.

i concur with everything that is @eman1200 PiRep.

Seasoning is a must in food, even if its just a hint. i know places try to cater to all taste buds. I will give it more tries. The view on the 3rd floor on top overlooking the airport is really great. Good place to bring little ones and watch pilots land and take off. If you do come through and depart rwy 03, you have to do a Oshkosh Wing Rock for the viewers.. :D

Sunday or most any day next week would work
