Mid-air Hit & Run

I think what you're actually seeing is the upper left tail bracing wire of the Maule and not the tip of the archer's bow of the Stinson logo. The aircraft shown in the background of the photo in Post #1 is a Maule, and the wheel covers are on to hide the unexplained scuff marks on the tire of its left main landing gear.:rolleyes:

Nope, looks like a Stinson tail (and even has the bow-and-arrow logo peaking out there).
I posted a photo of the plane... it's a Maule!

Tire mark? The other pilot probably just thought it was turbulence. Both missed death by inches that day.
