Short notice I know but Leah and I are going to run up to Paola/Miami County for breakfast in the morning. Thinking about getting there around 8 AM. Anyone want to join us?

Will be there if the weather gods aren't too grumpy.

I just spent a bunch of time looking at icing forecasts and a bunch of other weather data as the forecasts were calling for a 1200 ft ceiling at departure. Charged up the spare GPS, spare com radio, printed IFR charts....

Just looked and the latest taf is forecasting a 12,000 ft ceiling. Sigh. See you there :)

Jack, Tristan, and I will be departing IFR around 6:40ish. See you there. N6401V

The departure from Lincoln was in rather low IMC - weather was nice VFR in Kansas.

The pancakes were huge and tasty. A good way to start a Sunday.

glad to see you made it home. we had a really nice flight back to wichita.

i took a picture of my pancakes but that is on my phone...

Complex plane, simple pilot?

I would have been in the pictures...you're better off without them.

It was a nice trip...first time where I can see what goes on in a complex plane...and the company was great too.

TC's first post confused hell out of me, due to the time-stamp. I was ready to get up early tomorrow and join you. Maybe next time.

Wonderful morning for a IFR departure.

I'll try to make one when the weather is good and I can play golf with the guys at Wolf Creek. We used that airport for most of my CFI training (and yeah, it was in Orville's plane) back in the day, so I have lots of Miami County stories. ZZzzzz

I'd like to make the next one as well. My plane should be all sparkly by the 17th when I get her back from the paint shop.
