MI-35 Shootdown

Hard to tell if was a MANPAD, RPG or large caliber weapon. Look like they were taking hits up to the point where an explosion occurred on the tail. Didn't see any smoke trail or flares so...
 
Looks like it was firing rockets... 2-3 of them before it took a hit to the tail rotor.

Tis how they got the Blackhawks in Gothic Serpent too.

The official presser from ISIS claimed it was a TOW missile.

One amazing thing is, Russians managed to extract the bodies. There was a combat operation with a firefight, as the helo came down in ISIS-held territory, but they didn't suffer any additional loss of aircraft or people. When they rescued the bombardier of the downed Su-24, also in terrorist-controlled territory, they lost a Mi-8 (crash-landed and destroyed by a AT missile), and a door gunner took a bullet in the neck and died.
 
Maybe a vodka-laden Rooskie loaded a rocket backwards.

ISIS takes great pride in desecrating the bodies (alive or dead) of anyone they manage to capture.
