How safe is it to fly into Mexico? We're a couple hours north of Los Angeles. Cabo San Lucas looks pretty doable, and my wife has family in Guadalajara. I'm guessing if one sticks to the major airports you'd do okay, but I'd like to hear from some who have done it.

Here's what I'm thinking..

Destinations: MMSL (Cabo), MMGL (Guadalajara), and MMPR (Puerto Vallarta)
Fuel: MMLP (La Paz), MMHO, or MMCN

I’ve been flying to Mexico for many years, never had a problem and for me it’s one of my favorite reasons for being a pilot. So many cool places to visit. Border crossing rules from both sides can seam a bit daunting so get help from someone who’s experience has taken them south a few times. It’s not that hard just a bit of extra preparation and documentation to know before you go. Baja Bush Pilots offer all the help you need www.bajabushpilots.com check out the information they provide and join the forms over there to chat with a lot of experienced Mexico travelers.

Kenny (and thanks Marcus)... I've had many lovely GA trips to Mexico. The following might provide some food for thought...
Feel free to DM me at any time.
¡Buen viaje!
