It's lunchtime at the university and I'm consuming a package of Mentos and pondering a deep question of linguistical nature:
Is "Mentos" plural?
That is, is the trailing "s" a pluralizer, in which case an example of proper usage would be "Would you like a Mento?"
Or, is it a word like "ethos" or "pathos" which is not plural, and pronounced "men-tohss" like on the commercials?
Or, does Mentos transcend the world of the English language and exist only in an existential realm where such trivial issues of the human mind are irrelevant? (This might explain what happens when you put them in diet soda...)
Okay, well, back to work now. Gotta write a midterm for my students, mwa-ha-ha-ha....

Edit: as I read this, I realize it's been weeks since I've been flying. Maybe I've gone loopy cuz I'm suffering withdrawl...
