Melenoma

I was treated for malignant melanoma with imniotherapy. I have finished the therepy and my Pet scans have been clear for 9 months and a recent brain MRI was also clear. Do I have to get a special issuance first if I want to do Basic Med or can I just do basic med. I know if I had any heart issues or stroke etc. I would need to get a SI first but I can't read anywhere about the cancer treatment.

I'm not a physician or an attorney, but it would appear to me that you would not need a SI before going the BasicMed route. You can always contact AOPA and run it by them...
