medical deferral wait time for neuro

does anyone know the wait time for a review process for a 1st class medical. i have submitted all my documents required so now i am just waiting for the FAA. anyone know the que? i was differed for some anti depressants
 
Depends on a lott stuff-
(1) if you're on the antidepressant its a long wait- if you have al lthe right stuff, 7 months to approval. If you don't, 4 weeks to the demand for mor information.
(2) If you're off the antidepressant and it was a one-off of less than ~ 2 years's duration, and have all thre right stuff it can be a little as 7 weeks.

Why does the SSRI path take so long? Is it just lack of reviewers? If stable, performed well on the cogscreen, etc and have the full application items, why would it take more than a month? If for anxiety of sorts, vs. depression and other unfortunate mental states that come along with that, it seems like the AME could self issue if all those parties involved in applications items supported SI in their respective reviews.
 
Non airline: One lone reviewer at the "higher complexity end" of the scale...and then we had that 45 day shutdown....
