To anyone with information....
I have been trying to get my medical certification since August. I take an SSRI that is on the approved list (Lexapro). I jumped though many hoops over the past 6 months to get the proper information together. I am not diagnosed with a disorder of any kind. The lexapro was prescribed about 5 years ago for anxiety/sleeplessness in college and I simply never stopped taking it. No side effects ever. Back in August-ish I got a letter with the extensive list of things I needed to do to be considered and I completed them all September. After a couple paper work misplacement issues and the FAA being the FAA and taking their good ole time, I got a letter a couple days before X-mas telling me I needed my AME to sign off on me. Jan 2nd, my AME who is also a HIMS (trained in this matter) gave me his blessing so to speak. I have had 2 specialists, and 2 Dr.'s including my AME say I am in perfect condition to fly and I sent a letter on my own, which was required, saying I felt completely able safely operate the aircraft.
Today 1/30/2013 I called the FAA (which i do about once a week) and the operator said they had sent my "file" to Washington. They sent out a letter today as well, but I don't have that in my possession yet.
My ? - is this a good thing, normal thing, or am I in for some bad news.
