May-day! May-day!

Words I hope not to verbalize while flying.

Yes comrade.. today is glorious day... vodka is plenty!!!!

"Mayday" originated in 1923 from Frederick Stanley Mockford, a senior radio officer at Croydon Airport in London, as a phonetic equivalent of the French phrase m'aidez or m'aider ("help me"). It was designed for pilots to easily communicate distress over radio noise between London and Paris. It became the official international radiotelephone distress signal in 1927. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Nothing at all to do with the commie holiday.

Why, that's the Russian New Year. We can have a parade and serve hot hors d'oeuvres...
