First the bad news, Dick Daley is not dead yet.

The good news: The Dick has got heart problems. Who knew he has a heart?

Guess how he was rushed home from Arizona to the hospital in Chicago?

Yep. Private Corporate Jet to Midway. :mad2:

Just to show there is no god, he did not die on the one hour ambulance drive from Midway to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, which was 10 minutes away from Meigs.

I guess Meigs wasn't on his mind.

I'm pretty sure there'd have been no private jet to Meigs even if he hadn't nuked it.

C550's and other small category jets flew in and out of CGX before it closed. You are correct though in that the field primarily catered to small prop/turboprop carriers.

The only time I landed there on a commercial flight it was in a Twin Otter.

And on a marginally related note, I haven't heard of or seen a Twin Otter in at least a couple decades. Do they still exist?

Come out to Deland FL - you'll see formations of them dropping skydivers. Most I've seen was seven or eight in formation + a Skyvan + PAC 750

Drop zones bought them all.
