Apparently with this projectile, we can blow up an Aspirin Factory within one hour, in any parts of the world.

The rockets only get it up to speed, where the scram jets can take over. This technology could eventually lead to a plane that can take off a runway, use traditional jet engines to climb to altitude, scram jets to accelerate and climb to the edge of space, then a small rocket booster to leave the atmosphere. (the holy grail)
 
Wow, and there is no recovery plan? They just crash it in the ocean and let it sink?

That is the normal plan, it's meant to hit a target anyway. This one lost telemetry in 20 seconds of flight and crashed. The first flight test only lasted 9 seconds.
