Lycoming Valve Covers

[BGF_Yankee]

Silly question (maybe), but if I were interested in finding valve covers for my Lycoming IO-540, where would I look? I've Google'd the hell out of it, and I can find them for many other smaller Lycoming engines, but I've pretty much crapped out when it comes to the 540. Maybe I'm just an idiot and have looked at it 20 times without realizing it, and if that's the case, I'll admit it...but I'm having a hard time finding them. If someone else knows of a place, I'd appreciate a heads up!

360 covers fit 540s, right?

I honestly have no idea. Had the 360 on my Skyhawk, but never thought about it.

I belive they are the same. Just two more cylinders on the big one. Both 0 and IO varieties.

Try ebay.

Maybe call some of the folks on TAP that sell engines?

Or call an overhaul shop - they may have some they would sell.

Also scrap dealers.
