Quit with the negative waves, man.
It's come up on other forums as a problem, especially with engines that have sat for some period of time, or have low use. The bearing fails with little indication, little to no metal in the oil screen or filter, and not much indication in terms of engine performance, except maybe hard starting. Good indication of a problem is a little slop in the mag drive cup with the mag and cushions removed. Can result in engine failure and damage to the bearing boss in the case. The p/n is 67542. Was wondering how many of you A&P's have come across this, and how many routinely change that bearing at 500hr mag OH.
