LTE Speeds (iPad 3)

I hadn't thought to do a speed test on the new iPad on Verizon LTE until this morning.

Holy crap! Nice!

The upload speed is faster than my Comcast business cable modem.

I have their LTE MiFi. In a few locations, I've seen 19-21 Mbps. I'm guessing those cell
sites have upgraded back-haul links to the terrestrial network.

The latency (ping) is much higher than a typical fios or cable connection, which limits it for some things, but the speeds are excellent.

Actually, maybe the higher latency is a good thing. It'll keep the gamers from tying up the system.
