Low Flying Military Jets

Back in '86, sailing on Albemarle Sound in NC, we got "strafed" by a pair of ANG F-4 Phantoms, twice within a few minutes. We had a 50' mast, and I don't think they cleared us by much more than another 50'. Not on burner, but F-4s don't need to be on burner to be deafening.

Didn't seem that crazy to me. It looked stable and in control and subsonic.

And dirty. Both had gear down. Probably practicing off airport landings. That was one long straight wide road.
.
There is a lot of low level high speed flights over the lakes and bays in Scotland. It's common enough that the locals don't even bother looking up.

Can't fathom that. It's like reading a newspaper in a strip club.

Looks like the jet was buzzing some buddies. At 0:58 there is a military truck on the right with guys in uniforms looking around. You would think he would land with the traffic?
