Just pondering a friend's condition.
Maybe you know someone who has LEF too; wondering what meds are being used these days.

He has been offered a β-blocker, an ARB like Lorsartan, the ICD and biventricular pacemaker of course, all standard.
It seems to me that what is lacking is a positive inotrope.
Has anyone out there researched this? Are these available, do they help? Is digoxin too old-school? I have seen it work wonders in animals.
 
Reach out to Doc Bruce. While not a board certified cardiologist, he knows enough about the system and the maladies to provide authoritative comment.
 
I should have noticed this is in Medical Topics, but I thought it would be Dave asking a question about plumbing, which it is in a way...
