Lots of SpaceX news

I interviewed there. We both decided it wasn't for me. :)

Nauga,
who stepped up his game

Why do they launch from the middle of Texas?
1) SKC most of the year.
2) Open spaces so when things go bad and rocket goes boom, impact on humankind is minimized.
3) Lowest fuel prices around, definitely much much lower than cancerous Calyfornya.
4) Texas isn't called "The Friendly State" for nuttin'. I would choose TX over CA any day.

But I assume they will move a little farther west to escape the humidity. The water content pushing inland from the Gulf is undesirable for rocket science.

Good luck to them, I am looking fwd to more tests.

Why do they launch from the middle of Texas?
Much of it is political. After all, who is "Johnson Space Center" named after.

I don't think the price of rocket fuel is affected much by geographic location.

I think they would be better served moving the launch sites to Florida.
