Lots of activity at BFI when they turn the jets loose

The Blues are practicing or doing their show every day and all kinds of other shows' aircraft are all over the place too. Yesterday under the glideslope for 31R, I was giving a couple Little Eagles a tour of the cockpits along the tie-downs and a light twin about Seneca size, took off over us in tight formation with a fast biplane followed by a Yak or something close off their tails. Unusual and cool to see it.

It is. Watson Bros. brewery and restaurant sits under the final for 24 at Blue Ash, about 1500' from the end. It's really fun to sit out on the patio having a couple of cold ones while looking directly up at aircraft arriving/taking off from the airport. More fun to grade approaches....
