If this passes the native American tribes could in one letter restrict flight over all gaming casinos and reservations and the NPS could restrict flight over all parks in the US.

You and the commercial airlines would then be required to route around all these restricted airspaces.

Really Really stupid move.

Bring it on. If freedom is to be restored it must be crushed completely first. No sympathy, it ain't just flying we let this happen to everything.

Amen, sad but true, we will have to suffer a collapse to achieve a repair at this point.

I truly don't understand the motivation for doing that.

Power, control and income. Once you can restrict someone from flying over your lands, you can create waivers/licenses in exchange for payment.

That's going to put a crimp in my "tours" down south since part of it is over the big bend Natl park!

Sheesh

On my deathbed I am going to buzz the living ___ out of the Grand Canyon for 3 hours straight, as low as I can go, just as a demonstration against excessive regulation which the 'Controlling' personalities in this nation have foisted upon not just pilots, but all citizens.

Not always. Sometimes it is about safety and fairness. Not in this case, of course. Just sometimes.

Profit and denial of profit are the same thing. The only reason we want to keep people safe is because it cost money to fix them. The insurance companies control the money so they have the restrictive laws mad. Fairness is about limiting profits.

It all comes down to money in western society, 'liberty and freedom' are a bit of a farce here anymore.

Cool. Can I come along?
