Looks like a great landing - all gear intact and pilot and pax walked away. Engine out over ocean was the cause per the news.

NBC Los Angeles

Edit: Looks like it was N9337Q. To the pilot: Well done!

That's a rare model, G33. Only 50 were built, 1971-73, had the 260 hp IO-470-N (same as the N35 and P35 V-tails, ten years earlier). It was the last Bo to have anything smaller than an IO-520.

Good job!

Hopefully they get the bo out of there before the hoodlums and socialists get to it

Fortunately, that stretch of the 55 can move pretty well, even on weeknights at that time...the real slowing happens when you approach the 55/405 junction. I drove past there on my commute for 25 years. The shoulders are pretty generous there, IIRC...not enough space for a full plane, but enough for a fuselage with the wings ripped off.

Yes, lots of skill and a good bit of luck involved too. Let's hope this wasn't a "fuel out" causing an "engine out"!

guess he landed with the traffic ...ha.
great job!
