If I get a job in your area, count me in.

Help finding said job is appreciated. ;)

I've actually been thinking about that seeing you're still looking. Could you list your experience, education, and occupational desires in a PM? I can't promise anything but I do have quite a few contacts in a few industries but trucking isn't one of them.

That's OK, I don't really want to get back into that mess of an industry anyway.

I finally decided I do need an "all-inclusive" resume, which I haven't done in an awfully long time because I have a very wide variety of skills and experience that I just haven't been able to fit on one page, or make much sense out of. However, I see there's a new "skills-based" resume format that's becoming more accepted, so I'm working on one of those and I'll send it to you as soon as I'm done. Thanks!

Okay, I was looking for where I posted this, but apparently I never did... Yikes! I have now added my commercial ASEL and AMEL ratings and added my flight time into this resume.

As for what I'm looking for - Well, I don't completely know! I'm looking for something new, different, and challenging. I don't mind some travel, especially if I can do it via GA.

Basically, I want something that pays decent, has potential for advancement, lets me use my brain, and allows me to fly - Either via paying me enough that I can afford to fly for fun, or by making flying part of the job. I prefer to work for smaller companies, simply so that I can share ideas with management and actually have a chance of getting them implemented, or at least be told why not.

For the right job, I'll move almost anywhere. Certainly anywhere in the US and its territories, or someplace warm, or... Who knows?

I am a hard worker, and I'm a company's favorite kind of employee: I do things in such a way that it's best for the company, even if it's not best for me.

The attached resume is an attempt to be all-inclusive of my skills - If you have any specific leads, I will do a custom version with irrelevant stuff removed, and details in specific areas fleshed out.

Thanks to my PoA family in advance for your help.

Good luck in your search. I don't have a real good handle on the job market at the moment. I do know that we are being very selective in hiring. Unfortuately, most of the positions that we have out there are in the Houston area. 2008 wasn't a particularly good year, and they are already running pretty lean. Do you want comments on your resume?

Again, this particular job hunt I'm willing to go anywhere and do anything.

In fact, Houston comes with a bonus - That's where my sister lives.

Do you want comments on your resume?

Sure, but remember that this isn't a resume that I'm planning on handing in for specific jobs most of the time - This is so that people here, or others, can get an idea of what I'm capable of and suggest a position. To actually apply for that position, I'll do a custom resume.

Sure - You hiring? This says you're not, and so does your own web site. How many hours do you get per month? I know at least one regional carrier I looked at, well, let's just say I'd make more money on unemployment! :yikes:

Starting in late Jan or early Feb we're supposed to run a class or two for the Saab. Last I heard interviews will be the second week of Jan (but that is, of course, subject to change). It's internal recommendations only since a couple months ago, unless they need more people.

I flew 80-90hrs/month on the Beech, most months, and Saab scheduling is a lot like the Beech. I got just over 1100hrs in my first calendar year (the 1900 used pt135 scheduling rules, max for the Saab is 1000hrs/year). It's not the best pay in the industry ($21/hr first year, $26/hr the second), but it's not the worst. And as of yesterday, we're an ALPA carrier, so there's that to look forward to too! :D
