PPL holder here. When I was getting ready for my checkride, the written test prep felt like a solved problem (Sheppard Air, King Schools, etc.) but there was nothing that actually simulated the oral exam — the part where the DPE keeps asking “why” until you either know it cold or fall apart.
So I built a small tool that does mock oral exams — it asks ACS-based questions, follows up like an examiner would, and tracks which areas you’re actually weak in instead of just quizzing you randomly.
It’s live at https://clearanceprep.com I’m not trying to sell anything right now — there’s an email signup for when it’s ready, but I mainly want people to poke holes in it. Let me know what you guys think and if you would like to see anything specific in this service please reach out!
