What's everyone's experience with brake disc hardware/manufacturers? I have to replace discs on a PA28R-200 at next 100HR. Cleveland is the most expensive. Rapco and APS are cheaper but still getting descent reviews. Wanted to see if anyone here had experience to comment on the best path to take. Thanks!

I stopped by the APS booth at OSH last month and took a firsthand look at their discs. They look to be high quality; equivalent to the Clevelands. Of course they promote the corrosion resistant finish too. One suggestion: check eBay for surplus NOS parts. I have purchased a few new Cleveland discs at nearly half price.

I put Rapco black disc's and semi-metallics pads on my plane a few months ago and very happy. Organic pads are quieter but don't last as long and the semi-metallics do squeak while taxiing but last longer.

I put on organic next time. The break-in procedure for organics are easier as well.
