If I had the money this car would already be mine at asking price regardless condition.

BTW, I used to play with that engine in a 64 Tempest, 3 Webers and manifolds from Clifford's and it runs like a striped ape, and smooth even with a hot cam you have many choices of. I'd hazard to guess that with a modern transmission one would be able to get high 30s for fuel economy while being able to pull low 15s at the drag strip.

I was driving to the airport Saturday and was passed by a Superbird. Haven't seen one of those in a long time.
 
That Pontiac OHC six was a very, very good engine... proof that not all that the General built was brute force.

Also, Buick's sweet little aluminum V8 (sold to Rover).
