Pre-takeoff checklist
I just want to make sure I'm reading this right.
(i) One cross-country flight of not less than 300 nautical miles total distance, with landings at a minimum of three points, one of which is a straight-line distance of at least 250 nautical miles from the original departure point
This is not required to be VFR like other flights for the comm correct? I can file IFR and still count this toward my comm training...unlike the dual x-countries that are required to be VFR. The only stipulation is that one leg is 250nm straight line from destination as opposed to 250nm via airways. It's been a long day at work, and I wanted to make sure I didn't overlook something before dumping $$$ for 4 hours of hobbs time.
**edit** I forgot to add...'landings at a minimum of three points' I am planning LZU-MYR-AHN-LZU. I assume that is landing at 3 points even though the third landing is at my point of departure. *sigh* I'm tired...this will all be much more clear in the morning.
