Not sure whether this has been posted yet. Two smart li'l kids built a balloon that made it to 78,000 feet ASL, complete with video, flight computer, and telemetry. Definitely worth a watch.

It's not clear whether they filed a flight plan.

Great instruction. They learned to plan, design, build, use tools, study of weather and winds, data retrieval inflight.

A lot of stuff going on that most kids don't do in one semester of science.
