Locating CFI

Is there a place on FAA site to locate CFI. I would like to see where my original CFI is training.

Best bet, run him by name in the FAA airman database, see if he has his address listed (most do) and go from there.

Also intellus, spokeo and facebook are good resources.

Another great search engine is at www.landings.com

Go into their database section and use the "advanced search", and you can enter the CFI's name and the type of instructor certificate(s) he holds. If the instructor has a fairly common name, it will help to have as much info as possible...but it's a good database.
