Hi All,

My club is pondering upgrading our 180 to add on a 530W and we were in the process of looking for a loan for it. Is there any bank or loan that you guys would recommend. I have quote of about 15k for 530W + install, does that sound reasonable? Thanks on any input.
 
I will pay for the upgrade. But in return you must give me a chess board with one penny on one of the squares. Each day you double the pennies on each square until all the squares are paid.

I think 15K for an out of date GPS is way too much.

I thought the same thing as I paid less than that the day the GNS was announced (It was installed a few days earlier but my plane wasn't ready until the day the GNS was announced) and I have regretted it every since.

But maybe you have a reason for wanting to pay top dollar for old technology.

edit: Maybe I read you wrong. Are you paying $15k for the install and the 530W or are you paying $15k for the 530w plus paying for the install? Either way, I would need to be convinced that buying an old GPS makes sense.

That was 15k for both install and the GPS itself.
