Little planes over big water… would you do it?

Would you fly a single engine plane beyond gliding distance over open water?

Not no, but effing hell no.
I cannot swim very well at all.
My engine always makes funny sounds over lakes, even small ones.
RVs always flip over, violently, when ditching into water.
I hate the idea of drowning to death in cold water and would prefer to go with a heart attack while in bed with a beautiful woman half my age.
 
DXR to FFA, direct, VFR, sometimes in a plane with no radio.
When I go out past the ADIZ I fly below 50 feet. I never have any problems.
