Lion Air 737 crashed near Jakarta

A Lion Air jet from Jakarta to Pangkalpinang lost contact with the air traffic controller at around 7:50 a.m. local time on Monday morning, airline’s Director Edward Sirait said.

I had heard there was some kind of maintenance done to the plane the day before. Not sure on what though. From the flight tracker it almost looks like a spatial disorientation situation. THe pilot asked to return to the airport due to a problem. But did not specify. Very sad.
