I have been caught with dying batteries when the stock charging system seemed to not work, not sure if it was me or the cord. I charge after each flight but nothing was happening, can't really tell. I checked the app once and thought it was going well seeing the 75% change to 80. There is no visible charge indicator with the stock headset.
I now consider this $80 charge system mandatory. Has a light indicating system.
