    Simple. Pull the knob up, move it from outboard to main, or main to outboard. Repeat for the other side. Be sure to get past the off position.

    Cross feed is a little more difficult but the checklist will cover it.

    "The NTSB report also notes that the pilot reported engine problems to the tower before the crash. The tower suggested that he land at a municipal airport near Dayton, just eight miles from his current location at that time but the pilot chose to press on to Lunken Airport 35 miles away."
    Lunken is a "real" airport, with a control tower and several repair facilities, but, still ...
