Hello,
I recently went to a derm over a few white patches on my genitals (late 20’s male). They at first thought it was fungal. But a PA is now leaning towards lichen sclerosus. I have absolutely zero symptoms and no pain/itchiness/bleeding whatsoever. A few of the patches have went away over the years. Is this an issue when it comes to my 1st class medical? They didn’t do a biopsy and said that was the only way to properly DX it, so I wasn’t DXd with it. She recommended trying Tacrolimus ointment. The reason I’m skeptical is that the spots are on the shaft/scrotum/inner thighs, not the glans (I’m circumcised). I’ve read it’s extremely uncommon to have LS anywhere other than the glans or foreskin (which I don’t have).
I wasn’t prescribed anything yet. Is that medication allowed? I’d like to avoid a false DX unless we confirm with a biopsy. Thanks! @bbchien
