1977 421C , at the FAF, flying into KCMA, left main gear down light would not illuminate… after multiple cycles and no love, performed a low approach for visual verification of left main down… in go around in the down wind, I blew the bottle, and hoped it was a simple bad light of sorts.. landed normal, all safe!!!

gear was fully operational, my new led landing gear light was not for some reason… upon inspection there was a broken ground wire …

big shout out to Air7 FBO and Matt Shubin @ Victory Aero Tech , +1 (805) 427-0061, the A&P on location who, handled this first thing the next morning where he identified fixed the wire, jacked the plane, performed 8 gear swings on the mule and recharged the nitrogen bottle before an afternoon coffee break. He was the right guy at the right time. Anyone who needs 421C work done, won’t go wrong with him. A well versed and competent man. Thank you Matt!

Congrats. At least you didn't shutdown the engine on that side and then spin the plane in.
