Beats the same 2 episodes of the "big bang theory" that are on every single flight.

... And people watch it 'cuz it's a dang good show! I think I've watched the whole series at least a handful of times.

Likewise. It reminds me a lot of my grad school days, except we never had a ‘Penny’ character in my core group of science and engineering geek friends.

We didn't really have a Penny in our group, but we did have a "geek Penny" and a "Jewish Bernadette". Then our Penny got pregnant and dropped out :( and our Bernadette went home one summer and never came back. (Even Google doesn't know where she ended up.)

We had a great time, but we were never as funny as Cooper et al. But I'm sure every geek sees a bit of themselves in the characters..
