National news, the Bills have filed a complaint,to the league, that the quarterback missed a pass, and the kicker missed a field goal, due to being hit by a laser light ,during the play. Targeting pilots is one thing, but affecting a football game is UnAmerican

I've wondered why it doesn't happen more often. Especially in sports where players have fixed positions, like baseball batters and basketball free-shooters.

If they want to find who does it at a stadium, it would not be hard to do with a little money.

Just point a camera at the end zone seats constantly. Fit its lens with a 532 nm green narrowband filter. If coaches complain of lasing, have security review the video. They would get a good photo of exactly where the light came from, then send security to that seat and drag the culprit to the brig.

Unfortunately for pilots such a solution would not be practical.

Well no one should be lasered but I put pilots flying through the air getting lasered a bigger deal then grown men getting lasered playing with balls on TV.
