Looks like he might have made a turn towards KTTA Raleigh Executive...
Gear looks like it is up...props not curled...

WOTS is that it clipped at least one car...

I love this gem
"According to flight plans, the plane was headed to Ocean Isle Beach after taking off from Lynchburg, Virginia at about 3 p.m.
At this time, it is unclear what caused the emergency landing and if the plane or glider hit anything on the way down."

I know a Lancair looks a lot like a glider, and glides like one too... And they go approximately the same speed. :)

That said... This plane looks really familiar.
I think it might have been on TAP/Controller recently. If that is the case I hope it's not the new buyer who got a lemon.

In any case I'm glad it looks like they put it down OK!

@RyanB
I see this plane flies a lot out of KFGU. Do you happen to know anything about it?
Oh shoot, those guys were just here a few days ago. Seems they stopped in to visit friends or something, I don’t recall, but a nice fellow. Sorry to see this — I’m glad they’re OK!

Not many scenarios where a Lancair is going to make an off field landing safely. (high landing speed, tiny gear).

Clearly some luck was on their side.
